Installing RVM (Ruby Version Manager)

I really like PIK (a Ruby version manager) for Windows. It is very simple to install and use. So I am happy to find that there is a similar program for Linux (RVM).

1. Resources.

2. Preparation for Installation.
a. Install git, using Synaptic.
b. Install curl, using Synaptic

3. Install vrm.
Execute the following on the shell.
$ bash < <(curl -s https://rvm.beginrescueend.com/install/rvm)

4. Modify /.bashrc
First repalce
[ -z "$PS1" ] && return
with
if [[ -n "$PS1" ]]; then
.
.
.
fi # last line of the file
Then, add the following just before the last fi.
if [[ -s $HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm ]] ; then source $HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm ; fi
